Preservation Hall Foundation’s Policy Regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus)

As part of our business continuity planning process, we are closely monitoring the coronavirus outbreak. The health and safety of our guests, musicians, and staff is of extreme importance to us. 

As of March 13, 2020, we have implemented precautionary measures to mitigate the current risks involved with public gatherings. All PHF events planned for the month of March are now cancelled. Preservation Hall is closed to the public and regularly scheduled performances have been cancelled, until further notice (as of March 15, 2020.)

Following guidelines from the Center for Disease Control and the City of New Orleans, we will continue to implement and abide by any recommendations, as this is a rapidly evolving situation. Any operational announcements will be communicated via our website and social media. 

The CDC reports that coronavirus tends to spread from person to person through coughs and sneezes. By taking reasonable precautions and preventative actions, we can work collectively to keep Preservation Hall healthy. The World Health Organization has released basic protective measures against coronavirus:
